Red-light districts & adult areas in Jakarta
Jakarta's red-light map is a corridor plus satellites. Mangga Besar/Hayam Wuruk, north of the old town, holds the Classic and Travel hotel-brothels, the Malio complex (club, lounge and hotel in one) and the spa tier of Emporium — the district the regulars call the best in the city, consistent all week. Just east, Kota is cheaper, older and hit-or-miss, liked precisely for its prices. South of it, the Kota Indah complex runs Bangkok-style girl bars with no cover and basic hot rooms. Blok M, the expat bar strip in Kebayoran, is dead as a market: twelve girls across the whole strip on a May 2026 count.

The satellites
Kelapa Gading, in the northeast, is the spa row: Sugar, Groovy, Vermouth, El Fenix and Blow Art, the suburban belt where the 90-minute formats live. PIK, on the reclaimed waterfront in the north, holds the KTV circuit some regulars now rate above Classic at the same money. Kota Tua anchors the 1001/Pool tier, and Lokasari Square, by the corridor's edge, carries the street-freelancer floor (300–400k) and the youngest risks on the map. Bekasi, two hours out, is the extreme floor — 200k on-site, bucket-wash rooms, the ojek-driver economy — kept in the guides as much as warning as option.
The one-day rhythm the regulars note: Monday beats Saturday for selection quality, because the day of the week matters in Jakarta in a way it doesn't in Pattaya or Angeles. The Chinese regulars harvest the top of the lineup early, and the mamasans' tempo sets everything after.
Districts & zones
Zone names describe where the nightlife concentrates; they say nothing about quality, safety or legality of any specific place.
